Description

Single Origin Rwanda Inzovu Specialty Coffee

Rwanda’s coffees are grown at altitudes of 1,400–1,900 meters above sea level and are tended by around 40,000 smallholder farmers, each managing 1–2 acres of land. Coffee production is highly valued in Rwandan farming communities and provides a vital source of household income.

The beans are predominantly Bourbon and Typica varieties, known for their juicy fruit flavors. When brewed as a filter coffee, it’s smooth with a mellow body. As an espresso, it becomes more complex with a subtle, bright tartness.

The Rwandan Trading Company (RTC) works to create a positive impact on farmers’ daily lives. They invest in coffee production infrastructure and support the local community by educating and employing staff from surrounding areas.

Falcon Coffees, specialists in green beans, collaborate closely with RTC to ensure high-quality coffee production. Their Agribusiness Training Programme helps farmers develop the skills needed to maintain consistent and efficient coffee quality.
